I read a book once about 'The factory' (Andy Warhol's artspace) by a lady named Ultra Violet. She was the sensible one who never dabbled in acid or any other drug paraphernalia, I guess she was weird enough straight to fit in and took note of the 'factory days' in her diary. The stuff that went on in 'The Factory' blew my mind, everything from silver spray painted people to midget waiters handing out pills, both weird and wonderful. I don't know if Beck's got some kinda 'factory' going down at the studio or rehearsal space but it looks like a dam good place to be, straight or otherwise.
